Notes: Madison, seven years, was lucky enough to go on a beach vacation with her foster family! Madison does well with the dog and cats at her foster home, but she definitely enjoyed getting all of the attention on vacation. Madison was surrendered to us for being mean, however, upon entry staff noticed she had all the signs of a thyroid cat, off she went to the vet, and sure enough that was the case. Madison was most likely not so happy because she felt horrible, but now that she has the medication that she needs, she is gaining weight and is the happiest of girls. She has been nothing but sweet with us and soaks up all the love in her foster home. Madison easily takes her medication and is gaining some much needed weight. Thyroid medication is not expensive for cats, so please do not let that hold you back from adopting a wonderful feline companion.

The cat adoption fee is $55, which covers a 1 year rabies vaccine and spay or neuter. All animals, altered before leaving the shelter if older than 16 weeks.

All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis on the day the cat is available. Phone 540-507-7459 to check the cat is available.

To adopt you must be at least 18 years of age and provide a current ID.

Most of our cats are strays, and we can only guess by observing the behavior of the animal in the kennel and interaction by the shelter staff, whether they are good with other animals or children.

Some of the cats live in our lobby between 8am and 4pm where you can meet them Tuesday through Saturday.
