PET ID: 20-1721

Breed: Shepherd Mix?

Sex: Male

Neutered: Yes

Age: 7 years approx

Size: Large

Color: Black and tan

Vaccinations up-to-date: Yes

Obedience: Hula was kenneled outside his entire life

Children: Not suitable for a home with small children as he may knock them over

Other Dogs: Hula has not lived with other animals. He would likely be the dominant dog and seems to prefer female to male dogs.

Notes: Hula, 7 years, has never known life as an inside dog until he was surrendered to our shelter, so is super excited to go outside and run and play today with one of our volunteers. He loves sunbathing outside. Hula would be happiest in a home where he has a ton of outdoors time, but also has human love and affection. Hula is a big guy, weighing in just under 100 pounds, so does need a strong human who can handle his size. He has no concept of how big he is and can easily knock over humans, so we do feel he would be best in a home without younger children. He would love the ability to have plenty of outside time but also able to be inside and part of a family. Hula is heartworm positive (he is on precourse of Doxycycline), and while he is showing no outward signs, he does need a household that will help find a course of treatment with their veterinarian. If you think he might be a perfect fit, please consider coming to meet/adopt him Tuesday through Saturday between noon and 4pm.
